Random musings

1. These have been some of the best hockey playoffs I have seen in a while. Oh sure, they would be better if the Sens had made it through but regardless some of the series have been amazing. How cruel it was to watch Vancouver have it all slip away but how reassuring to see the Blackhawks re-emerge after years in the wilderness. My bet is still on a Wings/Canes final but we'll see. 

2. Karl Wolf's cover of Africa is a guilty pleasure. I snorted derisively the first time I heard it but upon second and third hearings it has begun to grow on me. 

3. Green Day's new album (album? cd? compendium of downloadable songs?) fkn rocks. That.is.all.

4. I'm going to see KISS in July. I have a bucket list of concerts and those bad muther fckers are on it. So is Stevie Ray Vaughn but I think I'll be waiting quite some time for that show. 

5. Do you have Wilson Pickett's cover of Hey Jude on your ipod? No? What the heck are you waiting for? 

6. Have we suddenly returned to an era of actual bra burning? How else do you explain the sudden rash of women walking around without bras on? Ladies - foundation garments are essential. Resting your breasts on your pregnant belly is a misuse of a pregnant belly. You aren't growing that kid to get out of wearing a bra. If you are - seek help. Still not sure foundation garments apply to you? See if you meet any of the following criteria: 

• You are over 30
• You are wearing white
• You have breastfed
• You are capable of tucking your breasts inside your waistband
• You have breasts

If you resemble any of the above for the love of Victoria's Secret put a bra on.
